Success Stories cover 1

Lighthouse for Visually Impaired and BlindDominque has been with the Lighthouse since she was eight years old. Now at the mature age of 19, she is ready to conquer the world. She has attended both the Children’s and transition program faithfully, for the past eleven years, and is moving on to her next stage in life. She has developed her training at the Lighthouse to fit her needs, and to assist her with living independently in a successful manner. Most recently, she has learned how to advocate on her own behalf, in school, home and at her present employer. She is graduating from both the Lighthouse Transition program, and from high school. She will be attending Pasco-Hernando State College in the fall. She is now able to request her accommodations, for successful post-secondary education, by developing a relationship with the student services office at PHSC through the Lighthouse.

Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind (LVIB) serves Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties.
